Microwave Malfunction Causes Fire

The microwave in this kitchen in Oceanport malfunctioned, resulting in a kitchen fire that also destroyed the stove and surrounding cabinets and charred the refrigerator.

The main objective we had was to take out and replace all affected appliances and cabinets, then clean the entire house from smoke and soot damage. Only professionals with proper equipment should be called in to clean, because if cleaned incorrectly, any lingering residue could continue to damage property and possessions.  SERVPRO of Eatontown/Long Branch was called in and took care of everything in a professional and timely manner, leaving the customer happy and satisfied.
